„1000km Grand Prix Riga” is an endurance race, during which the teams will have to cover 1000 km or 276 laps in the Biķernieki Track. Stoppage of a car is allowed only for fuelling and change of pilots or tires. The duration of the race is approximately 8 to 9 hours.

During this event prior to the start of the race for the first time in Latvia the track will be covered by a real Renault F1 Formula, which will try to set a new speed record of the Biķernieki Track.

Several local teams and strong drivers from Lithuania, Belgium and United Kingdom have already registered for participation in the Race „1000km Grand Prix Riga”.

During the 1000km Race in the newly-created Biķernieki Rally-cross Track the spectators will be offered a possibility to observe drift, rally and rally-cross shows as well as the mini competition Golden Moped. In the territory of the Biķernieki Track also the 5th Stage of the RC Drift Latvian Championship will be held.

The entrance ticket allows its holder to attend the race training and the qualification on 10th September. Upon presenting the entrance ticket of the Race „1000km Grand Prix Riga” on the day of the Race it will be possible to attend the Rīga Motor Museum for LVL 1 as well as to receive the 20 % discount for any activity in the Go-kart Racing Hall „Ātruma Cilts”.
