Davis Freeman’s latest solo work, Nothing Happens Without You, is an intimate and disarming performance that confronts growing older, masculinity, empathy, and the politics of forgiveness. Blending elements of a ritual, an exorcism, and raw stand-up, Freeman invites the audience to shift from passive spectators to active participants in a shared space of reckoning and reflection. At its core, this piece explores what it means to care and support one another in a world increasingly defined by disconnection. How can we hold space together to transform the ordinary into the sacred.
